KIWI HOUSE

 

 

 

 

Full refurbishment of existing building, to incorporate  new kiwi house Enclosure. Extensive internal alterations, to suit the life and existence of Kiwi.  This project involved extremely high level of construction waste management due to kiwis not being able to digest anything outside their digestive system capability.  This project also involved extensive temperature controls, fire and lighting systems.  Having to produce night, day, and dawn dusk.  Also climate control weather conditions.  Very outside the square specifications having to be carefully managed and controlled.

I have known Rob Littlejohn since April 2010 when he was awarded the contract for the Whangarei Museum

and Heritage Trust kiwi house alterations. This project involved substantial renovations including new

reception and shop areas, kiwi husbandry/prep rooms and the co-ordination of high-tech air conditioning

systems and specialist lighting in a new kiwi enclosure and viewing corridor. The project was successfully

completed in December of the same year and has been very well received by the client.

 

I found Rob easy to work with. He was always diligent and efficient and his team’s workmanship throughout

the project was of the highest level.

 

I have no hesitation in recommending Rob Littlejohn for any construction project.
